I was asked to share the below announcement with you on behalf of the communications staff here in DC:

Today, President MacNamara will participate in a roundtable on the 2012 elections and the future of elections hosted by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC).  According to the EAC, the daylong event is to identify election administration issues of the November 2012 election, the contributing causes of these issues, priorities for addressing and mitigating these issues and strategies for research and solutions that can be applied in future elections at both the state and local levels.

The panel tha Elisabeth will participate in - Academics, Advocates and the Media - is scheduled to take place from 10:45am-12:00pm.  In order to see the event, tune into C-SPAN, watch it live streamed on www.eac.gov or follow along and particpate by submitting questions using the EAC's Twitter address: @EACgov.  The meeting hashtag will be #BReady2012.
