Education Fund Committee Report
Nicholson noted some suggested changes to the Study Guidelines that should be made before the next study. Turrill agreed to modify the guidelines, which would then be finalized by the next Board.
Nicholson described the proposed initiative to license certain VOTE411 content to other organizations. This would allow our content and brand to be seen by a larger audience, and would enable us to charge a fee. The plans for 2014 allow us to work through this concept on a limited basis. Any future developments would be informed by what we learn this year.
Wilson moved that the Board authorize the staff to design and implement the licensing of VOTE411 content to other organizations for a specified time and use. Seconded. Passed.
Nicholson moved that the Ed Fund Coalition List as presented in the Board book for April, 2014 be approved as submitted. Seconded. Passed.
Nicholson stated that there will need to be a conference call meeting of the Board in May to review the results of the Agriculture Update consensus process and approve a final position update.
Nicholson noted some accomplishments of the committee throughout the previous two years, and identified some items for the next Board to address.
