MacNamara called the meeting to order at 9:03 AM
Donath moved that the minutes of the meetings of the LWVEF Board of Trustees of June 14 and August 19, 2013 be approved. Seconded. Passed.
Donath moved that the following persons be authorized to sign checks on the LWVEF bank accounts: Elisabeth MacNamara, Chair; Patricia Donath, Secretary/Treasurer; Nancy Tate, Executive Director; Kelly Gardner, Chief Operating Officer; and Jeanette Senecal, Director of Elections and e-Democracy. Checks more than $5,000 require two signatures. Seconded. Passed.
Donath moved that any two of the following person be authorized to approve wire transfers from the LWVEF bank accounts: Elisabeth MacNamara, Chair; Patricia Donath, Secretary/Treasurer; Nancy Tate, Executive Director; Kelly Gardner, Chief Operating Officer; and Jeanette Senecal, Director of Elections and e-Democracy. Seconded. Passed.
Donath moved that the financial report of the LWVEF dated August 31, 2013 be accepted and placed on file. Seconded. Passed.
Tate reviewed current activity related to identifying funders and obtaining new grants.
Nicholson reported on feedback related to Vote411, and new ‘Who Represents You’ project. Schink and Brown will work on alternative cost sharing models for both.
Nicholson moved that “Who Represents You” be offered to up to 20 Leagues using the same cost sharing method as has been used for Vote411, including a VOTE411/WRY combination, as described in the October 2013 Board materials. Seconded. Passed.
Turrill moved that the Education Fund Committee, with input from the Agriculture Update Committee, be authorized to narrow the scope of the Agriculture Update such that the study materials and consensus questions are completed by the end of November 2013. Seconded. Passed.
